Variety Techniques: So far, we have described a model which has proved its worth in numerous schools; but there are other ideas and techniques which should be considered. These can supplement our main model, and perhaps in certain areas replace it. The variations discussed in this chapter are in no way an exhaustive review of all the initiatives that teachers have taken, but they are intended to demonstrate the great variety techniques of forms that involving parents in education can take, many of them fun as well as rewarding.
Being extremely low cost and transportable, the Cardboard House could be used in a wide variety techniques of applications.
You could live in one while your permanent house is being built or renovated, for emergency housing, or for short-term accommodation.
Cardboard is not a traditional building material, however the introduction of innovative bonding, cutting and structural techniques has provided the opportunity to consider this lightweight and recyclable material in a more creative fashion.
Casting is the process of producing objects, or reproducing the form of objects, by putting into a mold a plastic or temporarily fluid material which will assume and retain the shape of the mold. Since casting is extensively used in industry, a great variety techniques of techniques and materials have been developed for specific needs. Nearly all of these procedures and materials may be used for the casting of sculpture, however only a few are much employed by the sculptor. |
