Urban Design Visual: Conceived in homage to architect James Stirling, who believed that urban design visual design is integral to the practice of architecture and a vital topic for public debate, the James Stirling Memorial Lectures competition was inaugurated in November 2003 as a unique forum for the advancement of critical perspectives on the role of urban design visual design and urban design visual architecture in the development of the urban design visual environment worldwide.
The Netherlands Architecture Institute, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and the Nederlands fotomuseum have joined forces to stage a penetrating interdisciplinary overview of contemporary Chinese art, architecture, urban design visual design and visual culture, which will offer space for this critical dissent.
