People Materials All: SURFACES DEFINE the space and layout of the backyard, and their design should be given a great deal of thought. The materials should be chosen with care, taking into consideration color, texture and function; they should be sympathetic to their surroundings, blending with the mood of the garden and the materials of the house and any other buildings or walls. Never employ too many different materials, especially in a small plot, as this will confuse the eye and create a restless effect in an area usually dedicated to relaxation.
The nature and design of surfacing should be assessed carefully for its function and aesthetic qualities. In functional terms the surface may be used for access (for people materials all, bikes), for children's play, for entertaining, and for sitting and sunbathin
The materials can vary widely accordin to function; but whatever it is used for, the best surface for a patio should be hard, cle; smooth, quick-drying and weed-free. And, course, whatever the material and the use t which it is put, it must be durable and not unreasonably expensive.
This is very important in the development of science over time. There is a need for people materials all to work within existing paradigms, but progress comes largely from those creative people materials all who can look beyond existing paradigms to a new order, people materials all with new insights. Such people materials all make life uncomfortable for the majority of the scientific community. So it is with children.
a General All materials subject to test and inspection, intended for use in boilers and machinery of vessels classed or proposed for classification, are to be tested and inspected by the Surveyor in accordance with the following requirements or their equivalent. Materials having characteristics differing from those prescribed herein require special approval for each application of such materials and the physical tests may be modified to suit conditions as approved in connection with the design. |
