Green Sided:

Green Sided Quartz crystallizes in the rhombohedral sysŽtem, generally as six-sided prisms usually termiŽnated at each end by six-sided pyramids. Among the crystalline varieties of quartz are rock crystal, amethyst, smoky quartz, rose quartz, and milky quartz. The mineral is colorless when pure, but ranges through various shades of yellow, red, brown, blue, and green to black when impure. Of the colored varieties of crystalline quartz, amethyst is clear purple or bluish-violet, and is popular as a gem. Rose quartz, which always occurs massive, is rose red or pink.

After a valiant effort to hold a middle ground in the Committee of Industrial Organizations schism of the middle 1930's, Green sided with the dominant craft unionists against John L. Lewis, his former chief in the mine union. Green nevertheless persisted in efforts to bring the CIO onions back into the AFL.He was successful in making the transition Tom the antigovernment, laissez-faire policy of Rompers to support of the New Deal's major in-ervena'ons in social and economic affairs.

See Also Green Monkey:

Guenons are native to Africa south of the SaŽhara desert. The mona monkey (Cercopithecus mona) and the green monkey (C. sahaeus) have been introduced into the West Indies. Most guenons are arboreal and live in forested or wooded areas, usually near streams or rivers. A few species, such as the vervet (C. pygerythrus), the grivet (C. aethiops), and the green monkey, are principally ground-dwellers and may inhabit either open savanna or woods.

Alien's monkey (C. nigroviridis), native to the swamp forests of the Congo region of central Africa, is also sometimes placed in a separate genus, Allenpithecus. The green monkey, the grivet, and the vervet, which are very similar in habit and appearance and among the comŽmonest of African monkeys, are regarded by some as distinct species and by others as merely the west African, east African, and south African forms, respectively, of the same species (C. aethiops).

On The Other Hand See Ten Green Projects The:

AIA - COTE 2006 Top Ten Green Projects The Top Ten Green Projects program seeks to identify and recognize the benefits of a high performance, sustainable design approach; to educate the architectural community and the public at large on the increased value that sustainable design provides for developers, building owners and occupants; and to acknowledge architects as experts in the creation of energy conscious and environmentally responsible design solutions.

This program is an international competition open to all architects. Projects may be located anywhere in the world, but must have been designed by an architect licensed in the United States. Entries submitted may be large or small projects, new construction or renovations, and any project type. Urban and regional design projects are welcome. Projects must have been completed after 1996.
