JOHN W. HERIVEL The Queens University of Belfast GREEN, Henry green ¬wood (1905- ), the pseudonym of the English novelist and industrialist Henry green ¬wood Vin¬cent Yorke. He was born at Tewkesbury, En¬gland, into a prosperous family that owned an industrial engineering business, which he later directed. Green attended Eton and Oxford and wrote his first novel, Blindness (1926), while still at school. Living (1929), a proletarian novel about Birmingham factory workers, was followed by Party Going (1939), Caught (1943), Loving (1945), Back (1946), Concluding (1948), Nothing (1950), and Doting (1952). Green published the autobiographical Pack My Bag in 1940.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's administration today unveiled a sweeping new "Green California" Web site, based on his vision of an energy efficient and environmentally friendly California.
The new Web site is filled with ideas, guidelines, reference materials, engineering data and environmentally friendly purchasing information to assist state and local government agencies and California businesses with the shift toward environmental sustainability, energy conservation and the reduction of landfill waste.
