Flowers And Green:

Flowers And Green Mostly grown for its foliage, rue, Ruta graveolens , has blue-green, deeply divided leaves and acid-yellow flowers and green. Known as the curry plant, Helichrysum serotinum syn. angustifolium is a bushy plant with attractive, narrow, silvery leaves and clusters of small dull yellow flowers and green. Lad's love, Artemisia abrotanum , is a shrubby plant which bears spherical yellow flowers and green in panicles, but it is grown mainly for its silky, gray-green, fine foliage. Lovage Levisticum officinale is another handsome choice with large but delicate light-green leaves.

Nicotiana alata originally came from southern Brazil, and its flowers and green once opened about 6:00 P.M. But hybridizers have been busy and the flowers and green now stay open most of the day. Yet it is at night that the sweet fragrance makes its mark. Two cultivars are especially recommended: 'Grandiflora Alata' growing 3 feet high, with large white flowers and green often 2 inches across; and 'Lime Green' reaching 30 inches in height, with flowers and green the shade of lime sherbert.

See Also Each Green Manure:

If you begin in late summer or early fall, you should be able to grow and turn under three or four cover crops by the following August. Each will add a great quantity of humus to the soil and improve its texture and granulation tremendously. You will be utterly surprised at the evident improve¬ment that occurs in less than a year. You must, of course, add fertilizer before each green manure crop is sown. This is not waste. It stimulates the growth of the green manure, and the nutrient elements the fer-ilitzer contains are stored in the tissues of the cover crop and are returned slowly to the soil as the plant remains decay, to later nourish the lawn grass.

If you are starting a garden in virgin soil—especially if it is very poor soil—work in a few bags of dried manure. If you have a source for barnyard manure you can save money by using that instead, but be sure that it's aged at least six months; fresh manure can burn plants.

On The Other Hand See Suited For Green House:

Plants Suited for green house for Greenhouse Culture. Green¬house plants can be divided into two broad cate¬gories: those that need a warm nighttime tem¬perature, and those that need a cool nighttime temperature. As desired, one can have a cool greenhouse ( 40-45 °F at night), a warm green¬house, or hothouse (60-65°F at night), or a greenhouse divided into two temperature zones by the use of a glass or plastic partition.

Through the exhibition and related programming, The Green House will explore developments in sustainability and will provide an informative overview of this dynamic design movement. This exhibition will take a look at some questions home-owners often ask when considering a green home or product, including: What makes a product green? How is a green home healthier, safer, and more comfortable? and How much does it cost to 'go green?'
