Basket Ball:

Basket Ball WHEN GROUPING plants in a hanging basket ball, it is useful to have one larger central plant surrounded by smaller-growing kinds, but planting several of a single kind can be equally effective. The side plants in a basket ball will usually be trailing types, with taller, bushier plants set in the top so that the finished planting creates a ball of color.

A golfer is penalized one or more strokes for a variety of misplays. He is charged with a stroke if he swings at the ball with the intention of hitting it and misses. If he tops the ball, and it rolls off the tee, this counts as a stroke, and the ball must be played where it lies. If, in addressing the ball, the player moves it a fraction, it counts as a stroke, and the ball must be played as it lies. If a player cannot find his ball, he must play a new ball from the place where he made the last shot, adding a penalty stroke shoulders, and flexes his knees. He keeps the left side of his body at right angles to the target (the green or the fairway) and keeps his weight distributed equally between both feet.

When three play, one golfer may play his ball against two opponents who play one ball between them; or each may play his own ball, with each competing against one another. With four golfers, the match may be between two pairs of players, each pair alternating strokes on the same ball; or two golfers may record the score of their better ball against the better ball of an opposing pair. Sometimes players play for two points on each hole: one point for the low individual score and one point for the low total compiled by a team of two.
